Kidnapping / False Imprisonment, Robbery

Kidnapping, generally, refers to the forceful taking of a person with an increase in danger during that forceful taking. Kidnapping is always a felony but the penalties can depend on a number of factors and aggravators that could even result in as much as a life sentence.

False imprisonment is, generally, the forceful detention of another against their will.

Robbery is generally the forceful taking of a thing from another. If a weapon or even simulated weapon is used, a Robbery can be charged as an Aggravated Robbery which can carry mandatory prison.
